Exhibition Information: "Gender and Economy" has consistently been a crucial topic concerning women's rights and gender equality. This year, the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women has chosen "Women's Economic Empowerment" as its annual theme. In this year's exhibition, we take a retrospective look at the significant roles played by women in various social positions and industries in Taiwan from the post-war era to the present. We also examine the existing laws and regulations in our country aimed at eliminating workplace discrimination and promoting gender equality. Through the use of statistical data, we present a comprehensive overview of the transformations in the workplace. The exhibition aims to guide the general public in contemplating the gender issues present in today's workplaces, while also considering possible actions to promote women's economic empowerment and achieve substantial gender equality. The exhibition sheds light on the journey of women in Taiwan, their contributions across different periods and sectors, and the legal frameworks designed to ensure their rights. By showcasing the broader picture of workplace dynamics, we hope to spark discussions and promote a deeper understanding of gender issues in today's society. Ultimately, our goal is to encourage actions that lead to the empowerment of women in the economy and the realization of tangible equality. |
