Exhibition Information: Women with disabilities are both "women" and individuals with disabilities. In real life, they often face more disadvantages than non-disabled individuals or even disabled men in areas such as health, education, employment, economic participation, residence, and personal safety. In order to bring visibility to women with disabilities in Taiwanese society and to promote gender mainstreaming, this exhibition aims to start with "seeing." We must consider women with disabilities as citizens with equal rights, "listen to" their voices and needs, and provide a supportive environment and social assistance to help them fulfill various roles in life. At the same time, through this exhibition, we hope that more women with different types of disabilities will be willing to share their experiences of gender and disability, fostering mutual understanding among different groups. |
